State approvals
We'd rather be straight with you than overpromise. FacultyGenius holds no state approvals today. Every course carries a documented clock-hour value and a verifiable certificate, and districts, schools and associations routinely accept professional development on exactly that basis — but we are not going to claim a credential we have not earned yet. Here is where each state actually stands.
Districts have wide latitude to accept documented professional development. The single most reliable step is to confirm with your district's PD or HR office that FacultyGenius hours will be accepted for your specific requirement. We give you everything you need to make that easy: clear credit-hour values, course descriptions, and a verifiable certificate.
Approval works differently in every state, and in several there is nothing for a provider to apply for. Where an application exists and is worth making, we say so — and we say plainly when it has not been filed yet.
One SBEC provider registration would cover the full catalog. Application in preparation — not yet filed.
Maryland approves individual courses rather than providers. Flagship courses in preparation — not yet filed.
Ohio has no state provider approval. Your district's Local Professional Development Committee awards credit directly from a contact-hour certificate.
Inservice points come through district and approved-organization catalogs rather than from vendors directly.
California eliminated professional-growth requirements for clear credential renewal, so there is no approval to hold.
Everywhere else, FacultyGenius is offered as documented professional development. Most states leave acceptance to your district or employing school, and a plain contact-hour certificate is what they ask for. Courses carry clock-hour values and verifiable certificates you can submit directly.
Documented PD — district-acceptedEach completion issues a certificate with the recipient's name, course title, completion date, and credit-hour value — plus a verification ID anyone can check at our public certificate verification page. That makes your hours easy for a district to confirm and accept.
