This is a starting draft intended to communicate our intent in plain language. It is pending review by counsel and will be updated before it governs any binding relationship.

1. Who this applies to

FacultyGenius serves working adults — K-12 educators and school leaders. We do not knowingly direct our services to children, and COPPA does not apply to FacultyGenius accounts. Our children's products are operated separately under the Genius Learning suite.

2. Information we collect

Account information you provide (name, email), your professional details (such as license or employment information used for credit records), and usage data generated as you take courses and earn certificates.

3. How we protect sensitive information

Your license and employment information is encrypted and never sold. We do not share it with third parties for advertising, and we limit internal access to what is needed to operate your account and issue valid credit.

4. Public certificate verification

To let a district confirm a certificate is genuine, our public verification tool exposes only your name, the course or credential title, the issue date, and the credit hours. It never exposes your email, license number, or other personal details.

5. How we use your information

To deliver courses, track progress, issue credit-hour records and certificates, support your account, and improve the product. For school and district plans, we provide completion and credit reporting to your administrators.

6. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and limited analytics to understand and improve how the product is used. We do not sell your data.

7. Your choices

You may access, correct, export, or delete your account information. Certificates you have earned remain independently verifiable so that issued credit stays trustworthy.
